London 2012

14th March 2007 was a milestone in our history. We became the first National Partner of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the largest event the UK has ever staged.
As a British company serving customers across the UK, we wanted to demonstrate our commitment to Britain, and our confidence that 2012 will be the best Games ever staged. As such we will use our rights to London 2012 to support the delivery of business objectives across Lloyds Banking Group.
The whole nation is now on an extraordinary journey to 2012. The Games are about much more than 16 days of competition. They’re about how we have to prepare our country, our people and our athletes, and the legacy we leave for future generations when the 2012 Games are over.

The Games are about more than winning and losing – they’re about health, hopes and dreams, friendship, fair play and respect. These values support our mission to help customers on their journeys and let them know that we’re with them all the way.
The 2012 Games will leave an enduring impression and we are at the very heart of initiating a lasting change for young people, businesses and our communities.

Our vision
“To inspire and support young people, communities and businesses all over Britain on their journey to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and beyond”.

Across our brands
In England & Wales we use the Lloyds TSB brand to bring our Partnership to life. Bank of Scotland takes the lead north of the border.
All Lloyds Banking Group employees have the opportunity to play their part in our Partnership with London 2012, whether it’s externally facing with the Lloyds TSB or Bank of Scotland brands or internally as a member of the Lloyds Banking Group team.

Take part
There are some exciting national initiatives taking place across Great Britain, including Local Heroes and National School Sport week.
Internally, staff members in our Champions Club will be bringing our Partnership with London 2012 to life in their own communities, and will even have the chance to attend the Games themselves.
